Goura Purnima

Gaura Purnima in 2025 will be on Thursday, March 14. It is a Vaishnava festival that celebrates the appearance of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Gaura Purnima is a Vaishnava festival that celebrates the birth of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486–1534), who founded Gaudiya Vaishnavism. It occurs on the purnima (full moon day) in the Hindu month Phalguna, usually falling in March or April. Gaura-purnima is celebrated in the honour of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
